Each moon phase has a specific gift for us, but still, the new and full moon are some of the best times for manifesting what we want.
During these times, we can choose to perform rituals, which also include writing our heartfelt intentions.
When you write down your intentions, you may not just have one, but an intention for different life areas, including love, career, and finances.
Here’s how to write your desires for each life area.
What is an Intention?
An intention is simply a prayer or desire. The way you state it, is to receive it as well. One of the best ways are to write your intentions in “I Am” form, as you are then telling your subconscious that your statement is a truth.
By writing intentions this way means you want to start them with, “I am,” or “I desire,” or other “I” based phrases. It then becomes a request for something you want to experience in your reality from the universe.
What Do You Need to Write Intentions?
First, you need – preferably – a dedicated notebook or journal to write your intentions. It can also be special journal pages that you print and put into a dedicated binder.
It is best to have one that is solely committed to your intentions so that you can also track your manifestations as they come through.
Second, allow yourself a quiet or dedicated area to write, when it comes to your intentions and manifestations. When writing out your intentions, you really want to put your heartfelt energy into what you are writing, as you let your pen glide over the paper.
By focusing on what you are writing, and really feeling it, it helps you purify your energy and frequency, and thereby help your intention manifest into your reality.
You can also choose to play music, light a candle, put fresh flowers, burn essential oils or incense – whatever makes it special for you.
How to Write an Intention
You do not have to write an intention in any specific way as such, apart from starting with the “I” statement. But how you say it is what matters. It is only a statement that you believe will happen, or you want to happen.
Said with conviction and will power, and really feeling into the truth of it, it will happen because you put your true and pure energy behind it.
Here are a few guidelines on how you can write them for the most positive effects.
- Write in the “I am”
Writing in the “I am” allows you to clearly state the intention as if you are receiving it or actively doing it. By speaking in the “I am,” you bypass any “asking”, “pleading” or “needing” from the universe, God, or whoever you believe created our amazing world.
If we are in a state of asking or pleading the universe for something to happen, it creates a lower level of energy that comes from a desperate state of being. And desperate frequencies are not beneficial for great manifestation, so if you’re in that space, work on purifying your energy, so you can believe in what you’re asking for.
When you write it in the “I am” with pure and heartfelt energy, you are boldly and confidently stating that what you are asking for is going to happen. It is a way to approach the universe that opens up a path for you to allow it to come into reality.
- Write one desire per intention
If you stack too many desires in your intention statements, the universe can become confused as to what you want – just like you are.
Instead, write one thing you want in one statement. If you want something else, write it in another sentence. Keep it short and to the point, focused only on one desire at the time.
- Make it a believable intention
If you desire to have a specific amount of money or type of person in your life, do yourself a favor and check within to be sure it has at least a slight probability for you to actually get it from the energetic level you’re at.
For instance (and no, never ask for a specific person – they have free will too, which you don’t want to override, so this is just for the example), if you’re asking to marry Brad Pitt, it may be specific, but likely not that believable.
If you are in circles with Brad Pitt already, then it is more believable that you’d get the opportunity to meet him, perhaps fall in love, and end up getting married, than a person who has never met him and does not work in the film industry.
So instead of asking for a specific person or thing that likely isn’t within reach due to current circumstances, keep your intention statement open to receiving what you truly want.
If you want to marry Brad Pitt, then the chances are that you want to marry for love with someone admirable. So instead, you could write “I am receiving amazing love with a long term soulmate, who I will marry and who is loved by the community.”
So, I’m not saying you shouldn’t set bold manifestation goal – au contraire…
But make sure your frequency is aligned to the result you want – or start with a somewhat smaller goal in the same direction, to up level your energy, and then step-by-step set bigger goals.
- Check your intentions for any statements of lack
One of the most used words that stop an intention from being manifested is “but.”
Make sure you are not using the word “but” in your intention statements, as anything that comes after this word is coming up for healing. So be attentive and notice where you can heal more, in order to up level your freqency.
